Five generations of Andrew Plunkett’s family have grown fruit in the Ardmona area over the past 120 years.
Andrew was born and raised on the family orchard, completing an Agricultural Science degree at the University of Melbourne before moving into management roles with Plunkett Orchards.
Appointed General Manager in (year), Andrew oversees all aspects of Plunkett Orchards operations and is closely engaged with global trends in horticulture and fruit marketing.
Andrew is a former Chairman of Fruitgrowers Victoria and his knowledge and expertise in fruit production, processing and marketing is widely recognised.
“Everyone deserves the chance to experience just how good fruit can taste the moment it’s plucked from a tree,” Andrew says.
“We work with our orchard teams, packing shed staff, logistics companies, wholesalers and retailers to try to ensure that consumers can get their hands on some of the best fruit in the world – as if it was just picked from the tree.”
